Q: What Android or Apple iOS system is needed to use the app?
A: For compatibility, iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch devices require iOS software of 15.0 or later. Android devices require software of 9.0 API Level 23 or higher.

Q: Why do I need to set up and verify a profile if I already have FACTS Family Portal credentials?
A: An app profile is a security feature established to connect important information tied to our student information system. Once your profile information has been entered, a text message verification link is sent to both the phone number and email address you provided.
Q: Can I download the app on both mobile and tablet devices?
A: Yes. User profiles are verified by a phone number and email address combination. You may enter your user credentials on both a mobile phone and a tablet device, and the profile used will sync those devices inside the app’s management portal.
Q: Can my login credentials be used for my spouse's or student’s device?
A: No. Regardless of the relationship or household setup, each individual person is required to have their own FACTS Family Portal login credentials for app or web browser access.
Q: Why should I select ‘allow’ for app notification settings?
A: This feature is designed to share quick messages for any classroom-related groups, club chats, and athletic teams your student is connected with.
Q: Is the app available to parents only?
A: Our app was designed with your family in mind and is available to any parent/guardian, student or individual connected to Tennessee Christian Preparatory School.
Q: Can a family member of my student access the app to stay connected with school-related information?
A: Yes, just make sure their information is up to date in our student management system.
Q: Why do I need login credentials for FACTS Family Portal to use most of the app?
A: At Tennessee Christian, keeping each student and their information safe is a priority. Anyone can download any app, and our app has security features built in to prohibit individuals from accessing sensitive information. These security features include restricting the view of any content fed through FACTS SIS or mapped by FACTS Family Portal. To access features with student, family, or financial-related information, you will be required to enter your login credentials.
Q: Why does FACTS want me to sign in after clicking on a feature?
A: If you open the app and click on a feature like Gradebook or Announcements, you’ll see a message letting you know that the app wants to use FACTS to sign in. Click continue and enter the same login credentials you use to open FACTS Family Portal on a browser.
Q: Will I need to log in each time I use the app?
A: Once login credentials have been entered, you will be able to access all features and remain logged in for 30 days.
Q: Where do I go if I need help logging into the app?
A: With your app open, select the ‘How to Login’ icon from the home screen, then follow the instructions from the ‘Family and Student Login‘ category.
Q: Who do I contact if I never created login credentials after enrolling?
A: Please contact our Director of Admissions or any member of Tennessee Christian’s Administrative Team for assistance.
Q: Can I create new login credentials if I don’t remember mine?
A: If new credentials are created for the app and the profile fields do not match your FACTS Family Portal account, your information will be duplicated but not connected to your family’s information.
Q: Who do I contact if I don’t remember my username and/or password?
A: Please contact our Director of Admissions or any member of Tennessee Christian’s Administrative Team for assistance.
Q: Can I create login credentials for FACTS Family Portal myself?
A: Yes! To ensure your account is linked properly to your students, please follow these instructions.
Please go to www.factsmgt.com, select Parent Log in from the menu bar, and then FACTS Family Portal from the drop-down menu.
After the FACTS Family Portal Login screen opens, please select Create New Family Portal Account.
Enter TC-TN in the District Code field to connect our school’s database.
In the Email field, you will need to enter your individual email address of record with the school.
Click the Create Account button.
You will receive an email from FACTS SIS Customer Support containing a link that will allow you to create your username and password. For security purposes, the link will remain active for 6 hours.
After clicking on the link, a Change/Create Password screen will open. You may use the default username provided, or create a new username. Then type in your desired password into the Password field and Confirm Field.
Click on the Save Username and/or Password button.
After closing the window, you may log into the FACTS Family Portal from the app or your computer’s web browser.
