August 19 (Early Bird)

• Early Bird for Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools.
• Doors open at 7:30 am for Early Bird.
• Games begin at 8:00 am in the gym.
• School begins at 9:00 am.
• Upper School students may earn service hours helping.

Early Bird is a delayed-start morning designed to give Tennessee Christian teachers and staff dedicated time to gather, collaborate, and meet. On Early Bird days, school begins at 9:00 a.m. instead of 8:00 am for K-12.

Families who need regular morning drop-off may still bring students beginning at 7:30 a.m. The FTO (Family Teacher Organization), along with Tennessee Christian faculty and staff, will provide care and supervision for students until the school day begins.

Early Bird gives our team valuable time to connect and prepare while continuing to provide dependable care for our families. FTO is looking for family volunteers for these days. Thank you!

August 19 (Mentor Circles)

• Middle and Upper School Only

Mentor Circles at Tennessee Christian provide students with a meaningful opportunity to connect with a teacher of the same gender in a relaxed, supportive setting for Middle and Upper Schools. These small-group conversations give students a chance to talk openly about school, share struggles and successes, ask questions, and receive encouragement and guidance.

The goal of Mentor Circles is simple: to make sure every student feels known, supported, and connected. By taking time to listen, talk, and build relationships, our teachers can walk alongside students as they grow academically, personally, and spiritually.
 

August 21 (The Talon: Vol. VII; Issue I)

The Talon is back! Tennessee Christian’s bi-weekly digital magazine will release its first issue of the school year on Friday, August 21.

Each issue will highlight student achievements, athletics, campus events, and the people and moments that make Tennessee Christian special.

Be on the lookout next Friday for our first Talon of the year!

Tennessee Christian Athletics is about more than competition; it’s about teamwork, character, hard work, and representing our school with pride. We’re proud of our student-athletes and the dedication they bring on and off the field and court. Come out, show your school spirit, and cheer on the Hawks!

*When final match times are set, administration will determine if student-athletes need to be dismissed early for athletic competition.
