August 21 (The Talon: Vol. VII; Issue I)

The Talon is back! Tennessee Christian’s bi-weekly digital magazine will release its first issue of the school year on Friday, August 21.

Each issue will highlight student achievements, athletics, campus events, and the people and moments that make Tennessee Christian special.

Be on the lookout today for our first Talon of the year!

August 24 (Fine Arts Academy Begins)

The Fine Arts Academy is our after-school fine arts program that gives TCPS students the opportunity to develop their talents through one-on-one lessons with local instructors. TCPS serves as the liaison between our students, families, and instructors, helping make these opportunities available right here at school.

We are excited to begin another year of lessons and welcome our Academy instructors and students! Lessons will begin this Monday–Friday from 3:00–5:30 PM.

Families, please make note of your student’s scheduled lesson day and time. Instructors will communicate directly with families regarding any specific lesson needs or materials.

We are excited to see our students discover, develop, and share their God-given talents through the Fine Arts Academy!

Chapel Day

• Learning Cottage and Lower School will have Jared Tilley as chapel speaker.
• Middle and Upper will have a time of small group discussion. 

Tennessee Christian’s Wednesday Chapel is a weekly time for students and staff to come together for worship, prayer, and encouragement. Chapel provides a break from the regular school day to focus on faith, hear a biblical message, and grow together as a Christian community. Through music, Scripture, and teaching, Wednesday Chapel helps keep Christ at the center of campus life.

August 26 (Fall Sports Kick-off Pep Rally)

• Wednesday, August 26 @ 2:00 pm
• Kicking off our Fall Sports, including Lower and Middle School Cross Country, Upper School Golf, Middle School Tennis, Upper School Flag Football, and Upper School Volleyball.

Get ready to show your Hawk pride! The Fall Sports Kickoff Pep Rally will bring students and coaches together to celebrate our fall athletes and get everyone excited for the season ahead.

Come ready to cheer on our teams as they prepare for a great season. Go Hawks!
