September 4 (The Talon: Vol. VII; Issue II)

Tennessee Christian’s biweekly digital magazine.

Each issue will highlight student achievements, athletics, campus events, and the people and moments that make Tennessee Christian special.

September 7 (Labor Day)

Labor Day is a time to recognize and honor the hard work and contributions of workers across our nation. In observance of Labor Day, Tennessee Christian will be closed on Monday, September 7.

We wish our families, staff, and community a safe and restful Labor Day!

September 9 (Chapel Day)

• Learning Cottage and Lower School will have our 4th-grade teacher, Mrs. Amond Steinbach, as chapel speaker.
• Middle and Upper Schools will have 2020 alum Sam Conar as chapel speaker.

Tennessee Christian’s Wednesday Chapel is a weekly time for students and staff to come together for worship, prayer, and encouragement. Chapel provides a break from the regular school day to focus on faith, hear a biblical message, and grow together as a Christian community. Through music, Scripture, and teaching, Wednesday Chapel helps keep Christ at the center of campus life.

September 10 (Science Fair Topic Night)

Tennessee Christian Middle School students are required to attend Science Fair Topic Night on Thursday, September 10, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. Students will meet with science professionals and experts who will help them develop their project ideas into a plan of action and answer questions related to their chosen topics.

Students may drop in anytime between 6:00–7:00 p.m. and should attend in chapel dress. We look forward to an exciting evening of exploration, collaboration, and preparation for this year’s Science Fair!

Athletics

Tennessee Christian Athletics is about more than competition; it’s about teamwork, character, hard work, and representing our school with pride. We’re proud of our student-athletes and the dedication they bring on and off the field and court. Come out, show your school spirit, and cheer on the Hawks!

*When final match times are set, administration will determine if student-athletes need to be dismissed early for athletic competition.
